Welcome to GetLicenseReady (“we,” “us,” “our”)! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GetLicenseReady platform and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

GetLicenseReady provides an online study platform with practice questions and exam preparation materials designed to help electricians prepare for licensing examinations. Our service is available via web browser and includes:

• Access to practice questions and study materials
• Progress tracking and performance analytics
• Study tools and resources for electrician licensing exams

2. Account Registration

To use GetLicenseReady, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information (name, email, state)
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

3.1 Pricing

We offer the following subscription plans:

• Monthly Plan: $39.00 per month
• Annual Plan: $119.00 per year

All prices are in U.S. Dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

3.2 Billing Terms

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for recurring subscription fees
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor
• We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers

3.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings (Settings → Cancel Subscription). If you cancel within 7 days of purchase, you'll receive an automatic full refund and access will be removed immediately. If you cancel after 7 days, cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will continue to have access to the service through the end of the paid period.

3.4 Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers:

• If you cancel within 7 days of your initial purchase, you'll receive a full refund — typically processed within 5 business days
• This applies only to your first subscription purchase
• Refunds are not available for renewal charges or after the 7-day period
• To cancel and receive a refund, go to Settings → Cancel Subscription

Refunds are processed within 5 business days to your original payment method.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use GetLicenseReady only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display our content without permission
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the platform
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt service operations
• Use the service to cheat on actual licensing examinations
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct rules.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

5.1 Our Content

All content on GetLicenseReady — including practice questions, study materials, text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our content solely for personal exam preparation purposes.

5.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of any data you provide to us (such as your practice results and notes). By using our service, you grant us permission to use this data to:

• Provide and improve the service
• Generate analytics and performance tracking
• Comply with legal obligations

We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

GetLicenseReady is provided “AS IS” and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Guarantees that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Guarantees regarding the accuracy or reliability of content
• Guarantees that using our service will result in passing any licensing examination

We make no representations about the suitability of our content for any specific licensing exam or jurisdiction. You are responsible for verifying exam requirements with your state licensing board.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• GetLicenseReady, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• This includes damages for lost profits, data loss, exam failure, or other intangible losses

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain warranties or liabilities, so these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetLicenseReady from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you submit to the platform

9. Service Modifications and Termination

9.1 Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time
• Update our content, features, and functionality
• Change these Terms with 30 days' notice

Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

9.2 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to GetLicenseReady immediately, without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your account is inactive for 12+ months
• We discontinue the service
• Required by law or regulatory action

Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. No refunds will be provided except as required by law.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of GetLicenseReady shall be resolved through:

1. Informal Negotiation: Contact us at support@getlicenseready.com to attempt resolution
2. Binding Arbitration: If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules
3. Jurisdiction: You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delaware for any matters not subject to arbitration

10.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.

11. Miscellaneous

11.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GetLicenseReady.

11.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

11.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

11.4 Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.
